CONTROL AND PROCESS INTEGRATION
The compact housing permits an easy integration into nearly all applications. The laser projector weighs less than 12kg, making mounting and servicing extremely easy and convenient. Data communication based on industrial standards, like Ethernet up to one Gigabit, integrated WLAN or traditional serial connection is supported. Z-LASER’s special Laser Projector Manager software (LPM) provides complete control of the Laser projector and can be configured and adapted to any customer needs. Pop-up windows, info fields and buttons can be added, modified or removed according to unique application requirements. Besides the standard control software, Z-LASER also provides a powerful Application Programming Interface (API) for WINDOWS operating system or the TCP/IP Winsocks Technology.
For Precise Positioning In Composite Layout Operations
  Z-LASER 3D PROJECTOR  ADVANTAGES
• Exact positioning of plies and pre-pregs
• Boosts your productivity and throughput
• Improves your quality
• Reduces errors, manual rework and costs
• Guides your workers through productio
• Indicates the correct order of ply-layup
Any manufacturing process in which composites are used, 2D and 3D laser projections can be applied to increase production speed and improve the product’s quality. Boat building and vehicle construction; aerospace; bridge and model building; the manufacturing of railway cars or rotor blades for wind turbines and helicopters — these are all examples of the type of application where precise projection of alignment patterns can bring great benefits to the production process.

Positioning Of Plies, Prepregs And Decals

Our 2D and 3D laser projectors have been optimized for complex positioning alignment applications. They accurately project the outline of each ply or decal to be laid up onto the mould so that it becomes fast and very easy to position and align the plies precisely. The projector provides interfaces for all common 3D-CAD design programs to display contours on any curved surfaces. It combines the advantages of contour templating and computer control to automate the manufacture of complex composite parts that conventionally require extensive hand layup.

When the complete laser projection is shown, the layup technician can immediately determine where to place plies or prepregs, or working pieces like balsa core, stiffeners or vacuum pods. This not only increases throughput but also improves quality by reducing errors and manual rework.

Additionally, single letters, text strings or numbers can be projected to define a special projection pattern more precisely. Depending on the production process, either the whole contour of composite work pieces or the position of single elements like prepregs or decals can be displayed.
